Step 1 - Initial Consultation-During the initial consultation our team visits your property to discuss with you what needs to be done, when and at what budget. The initial consultation is one of the most important elements in the landscape design process. We will take photos and some measurements during this visit. A number of factors need to be considered including, your family dynamic, the size and layout of the property, your likes and dislikes, your lifestyle and your budget.
Step 2 - Concept Plan. Landscape design is an essential part of landscaping because:
It provides you an opportunity to visualise a proposed design and be 100% happy with it prior to commencement.
It aids the transfer of ideas from our design team to our construction team
Step 3 - Second Consultation. Once the landscape concept plan has been completed we will revisit your property to discuss it and make any possible adjustments to the design. It is during this consultation we will discuss our estimate of costs for the project. Our services are free up to this point.
Step 4 - Final Design and Quote. After the concept plan has been approved by the customer Gecko Groundworks will proceed to draw up landscaping, planting and construction plan/s and will submit these to you with our quotation for the construction. The cost for this service varies, but is generally around $550. Once you decide to procced with the landscape construction, 50% of the investment you made in the plans will be refunded, should you select Gecko Groundworks to undertake the construction. It is at this point that we book a commencement date.
Step 5 - Construction. Throughout the landscape construction phase our team will liaise with you in order to keep you up-to-date with the work in progress. We are also available any time to answer any queries you might have during the process.
Gecko Groundworks are able to work with you on your landscaping project from conception to completion, and all stages in between. We have alliances with a number of additional trades and are able to co-ordinate these for you should they be required. Thus, you are able to relax, knowing your project is being handled by Gecko.
